It also may be used in the context of moving bulk commodities such as water, electricity or gas. The system is designed to ensure that the buyer of the land secures the title and all the rights that run with the acquired land including notification of any restrictions in advance of purchase.
Conveyancing is facilitated by a system of land registration which has been put in place to assure good title is take over the property and to encourage reliance on public records.
